 A personal statement from Kathleen:

The above logo for this page is from a photograph I took of footsteps to a meditation hall at a 10 day retreat I attended in early 2009. I call it "Trudging the Happy Path." I endeavor to employ my own life long education and self-improvement experiences to help others experience some peace within themselves and in their relationships.

My approach to mediation is to provide a completely safe, neutral, non-judgmental environment where the parties listen and develop an understanding of each other's positions.  Ground rules for listening and non-violent communications are established and agreed upon voluntarily by the parties at the outset of the mediation. The facilities provide for breaks, caucusing and privacy when needed.  The mediation goal is for settlement developed byeach side. The parties and mediator work together to find balance and mutually supported agreement.
